Assistance to life
Springfield’s philosophy revolves around Montessori principles and therefore we believe that the school needs to focus on education as an assistance to life.
School
There are three environments that a child encounters after birth: Home, Society & School. Children absorb anything and everything around them, but not consciously, in their first two environments. And we help them decode this subconscious knowledge – a smooth transition, in the school environment, which Dr. Maria Montessori terms as the child’s third environment.
Leveraging child’s potential
Quality of learning opportunities provided in the school should stimulate the challenge it offers thereby allowing the child to operate at their highest potential spontaneously and with enjoyment.
Self-paced Learning
Children are fostered to build their development based on their individual ability in the environment.
Indirect help
Modesty, Patience, and Respect coupled with freedom for the child should be practiced in the environment so that the child is allowed to work towards his aspirations.
Collaboration
Institutions are sustained when there is contribution, in whatever small way, from all stakeholders including Parents, Society, Staff, Children and Alumni.
Training
All staff are provided adequate opportunity for their personal and professional development through in-house and external training.
The school’s philosophy is in line with Montessori methodology, which believes that a ‘Well educated person is a well-developed person who knows to live a humanly healthy life in every aspect of human existence’ and therefore the adoption of the Montessori framework.
